In an effort to implement the decisions of the 11th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex is working hard to supply more fertilizers to the socialist rural farms.
Last year the complex registered the highest record in fertilizer production by gasification of anthracite.
“The secret of the success was the proactive introduction of valuable technical ideas conceived by the producer masses with the main emphasis put on revitalizing production by dint of science and technology,” says Pak Sang Ho, deputy chief engineer in charge of technical affairs of the complex.
According to him, over 670 ideas were examined on 38 occasions last year, more than 450 of them introduced into production.
Among them are the “Optimization of cleaned gas production for increasing nitrogen fertilizer production capacity” and “Method of purifying carbon dioxide absorbing solution.”
This year, too, the complex is vigorously waging the mass-based technical innovation campaign for increased production.
Efforts are being made in the preceding processes such as coal dressing, coal rodding and moulding to ensure the high quality of rod coal while lowering per-unit consumption of materials.
The gas generator workshop has updated the operational cycle of the generators in keeping with their characteristics and improved the quality of gas, while the gas purification workshop has put its production on a normal basis at a high level.
Besides, the ammonia and compressor workshops are producing high-quality ammonia and ensuring full operation of compressors.
