The Korean Central News Agency on the 12th made public a report on the successful fulfilment of the first-year task for implementing the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy" presented by the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The report said:

The first entities of regional rejuvenation were wonderfully built in all parts of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, demonstrating the spirit of vigorous advance and rosy future of socialist Korea which is confidently opening up a new period of overall development of the state, an ideal of the people, under the guidance of the great WPK.

The great Party Central Committee regards the people-first idea as its supreme programme and immutable principle, and works for it. The Party clarified a grand regional development policy of simultaneous, balanced and radical development of the whole country for the first time in its history and in the course of development of the DPRK and is leading the unprecedented revolution to a brilliant success and victory.

The service personnel of the People's Army and officials and working people across the country, with the firm faith that the line and policy of the Party are an absolute truth, science and victory, dynamically made the first stride of advance to implement the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy" of the Party and wonderfully built through their indefatigable heroic struggle the modern regional-industry factories suited to the regional characteristics in 20 cities and counties and a new model base of shallow-sea culture into creations corresponding to the height of the idea, national power and civilization of our times.

Through the first-year struggle of key importance in implementing the regional development policy decided at the 19th Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK, the guidance work system has been established throughout the Party and the state, the fighting efficiency of construction regiments at all levels, the vanguard of implementing the regional development policy, greatly improved and precious experiences and solid foundation provided for peculiar development and production growth of the regional economy. As a result, a breakthrough has been made to lead the struggle for promoting the people's well-being to victory and the socialist construction has entered a new phase of radical progress.

The whole country was afire with joy and excitement of having witnessed the great events of the inauguration of regional-industry factories in Songchon County and the Sinpho City Offshore Farm which significantly decorated the end of last year and the inauguration of other regional-industry factories which opened the beginning of the year 2025.

The truth of our cause and the faith in the rosy future are developed into the ideological sentiments of all people along with the first entities of the regional rejuvenation. Against the backdrop,  explosions heralding the start of construction in the new year were made one after another and gigantic undertakings for wider and substantial regional rejuvenation are promoted with vigour in all directions.

The past one-year struggle which confidently opened the stage of doing the long-cherished work of the Party in real earnest was a great campaign of creation to be noteworthy in the history. It made clearer the conviction that all the work determined and mapped out by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un always turns into wonderful reality and gave infinite confidence and optimism to the entire people that they can surely accomplish the great historic cause of overall development when they fully display the spiritual strength of self-supporting by remaining true to the plan and leadership of the Party with single heart and loyalty.

The entire officials, working people and service personnel are vigorously rushing towards a higher goal with loyalty and patriotic enthusiasm to glorify this significant year marking the 80th founding anniversary of the glorious WPK with new successes of regional rejuvenation under the outstanding and seasoned leadership of the great Party Central Committee leading the epoch-making changes of national prosperity to victory, the report added.
