Jang Kyong Ok living in Sojang-dong of Pothonggang District has been tending potted flowers in her house for several years. She has good experience in taking care of flowering plants. She said she turns flowerpots towards sunlight frequently to shape them and continued:
"I raise fish at home and often water the potted flowers from fish bowl. Surprisingly, flowers grow well without any additional nutritive elements."
It is a routine of her family to spray water over the leaves of flowering plants and manure the soil in the evening.
The Ryugyong Flower Shop sells tens of species of ornamental plants while informing the customers of scientific indoor greening methods suited to seasonal conditions.
The shop cultivates plants that can be grown in pot such as juniper trimmed in different shapes and those of various interior decorative effects in a scientific way, raising their ornamental value.
If plants such as anthurium and water lily are cultivated hydroponically in vase, their ornamental effects are enhanced. Now the shop is trying to heighten the decorative effects of plants while ensuring their rooting rate.
