Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- In different parts of the DPRK, there took place passing-on technique meetings and shows on putting rice-transplanting and cultivation and tending of field crops on a scientific basis.

The province show on rice-transplanting, held at the Yakjon Farm in Sukchon County, South Phyongan Province, dealt with several issues for successfully conducting rice-transplanting.

There took place passing-on technique meetings and shows in South Hwanghae, North Phyongan and Kangwon provinces to conduct rice-transplanting and cultivation and tending of field crops in a scientific way.

The meetings and shows dealt with the issues arising in attaining this year's goal of grain production and laying a foundation for decisively increasing agricultural output during the new long-term plan.

Passing-on technique meetings and shows held in different provinces stressed the need for the participants to organize the work to let know the sci-tech issues to not only the cities and counties but also farms, workteams, sub-workteams and farmers in order to raise the enthusiasm for scientific farming in all regions and units. -0-
