The exhibition of farm machines "Farm Machine Industry Development--2023" was held with splendour in the capital city of Pyongyang between December 2023 and the early months of last year.
It served as a very important occasion in correctly adopting the farm machine development strategy of our country and accelerating the modernization of the farm machine production sector and the creation of its capacity.
Researcher Ri Hye Suk at the Academy of Social Sciences said the exhibition of farm machines "Farm Machine Industry Development--2023" was organized at the proposal of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and under his meticulous guidance, and continued:
"The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the venue of the exhibition on January 2, 2024 when the people were celebrating the New Year. Looking round a lot of farm machines and different kinds of equipment on display, he said we should make world-class farm machines that suit the actual conditions of our country.
He added that it is the urgent requirement of the revolution and an important guarantee for implementing the programme of the rural revolution in the new era to bring about a radical improvement in the field of farm machine industry at present."
Modern farm machines were mass-produced in 2023 and 2024, making a great contribution to reaping a rich harvest.
It is the determination of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to create a new picture of the socialist countryside in which modern homemade farm machines cover the farms of the whole country and farmers work merrily with machines.
