A remarkable boost has been registered in timber production in the field of forestry.
According to data available, 10-odd units under the Ministry of Forestry have fulfilled their yearly quotas of timber production plan.
The Paegam Mine Prop Production Station, the Paekja Forestry Station and other units under the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau raised the operation rate of sawing machines and other equipment and adopted rational methods of initial conveyance that suit the conditions of mountains.
They also introduced other efficient methods suited to conditions of working fields to boost production.
The units under the South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau launched a dynamic technical innovation movement to increase production, thus ramping up the felling amount per hour.
In particular, the Sinhung Mine Prop Production Station raised the rate of initial conveyance by cableway, overfulfilling its daily quota while saving manpower and fuel oil.
The Hwaphyong Forestry Station boosted output by concentrating efforts on felling and introducing a method by taking advantage of topographical conditions.
