Choe Mun Il, a Merited Scientist

Among the trustworthy scientists who achieved valuable scientific research successes for the construction of an economic giant is Professor and Doctor Choe Mun Il, a section chief of the Physical Chemistry Institute of the Chemistry Faculty of Kim Il Sung University.

In order to repay the benevolence of the Party who brought him up as a scientist, he solved lots of sci-tech matters arising in bustling sites and thus contributed to normalizing production of several industrial establishments.

He distinguished himself in the scientific research work for building up the national strength and was therefore awarded the title of Merited Scientist in 2005.

He moved into the apartment houses for educators of Kim Il Sung University in 2013 and had the greatest honor to have a photo taken with the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

Keeping that day’s honor in mind, he participated in several national sci-tech festivals and others to receive tens of national sci-tech success introduction certificates and invention certificates.

Better still, he trained 10-odd researchers into excellent Masters and Doctors and wrote textbooks and reference books helpful for education.

He has recently achieved successes in the research work for improving the quality of drinking water and is still carrying on with his researches.

Kim Pong Don, a Merited Machine-building Worker

Kim Pong Don, who works at the Tools and Equipment Shop of the Anju Pump Factory, has devoted his all to the normalization of production of the factory for tens of years.

Since he started working at the factory, he has tried to acquire great techniques and skills, learning from the rich experience and know-how of the veteran workers.

His painstaking efforts paid off, molding him into a worker with ace skills in a short span of time.

He was decorated with his first official commendation in his early twenties after perfectly carrying out the assignments in the 24-7 campaign for the production of major custom-built equipment.

The proposals for technical innovation, which he made even in the days of hardship and thenceforth, were applied to practice and proved their worth in the production normalization of the shop.

What’s more, he trained tens of new lathe operators into reliable pillars of the factory and did lots of things in favor of the society and the collective.

Highly appreciating his wisdom and enthusiasm devoted to producing quality pumps conducive to the country’s economic development, the country bestowed the title of Merited Machine-building Worker upon him in October, 2017.

Sin Un Chan, Merited Constructor

Sin Un Chan, working at the repairs and power-supply shop of the Kumyagang Hydroelectric Power Station Construction Company, is respected as a treasure of the company among other workers.

He learnt welding skills at a vocational school dozens of years ago, and he strove to improve his welding skills when he was assigned to an assembly shop after his graduation.

Afterwards, he contributed to the construction of several power stations with his improved technical skills.

When he took part in the first stage project of building the Huichon Power Station, he, passing on his technique and experiences, trained some workers weak in technical skills while arousing his workteam members to settle the problem of shortage of skilled workers.

Then, he received an official commendation for his meritorious service in the project.

And he carried out his challenging welding tasks when he took part in the building of other hydroelectric power stations including the Wiwon Power Station and the Chongchongang Power Station in Tiers.

In April 2012, the country, highly praising his merits, awarded the title of merited constructor to him on the occasion of a significant holiday.

Now, he performs innovations in his work mindful of favors the country bestowed on him.
