An array of new songs, which premiered in the recent New Year celebration performance held in Pyongyang in the presence of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , are growing in popularity among the people.
We Are Koreans is among them.
The song vividly depicts the dignity of the Korean people who have grown into personifiers of the steadfast spirit of independence and indomitable faith in the embrace of the great leader.
We are dignified Koreans as we hold in high esteem the outstanding great leader revered by the whole world. This is the gist of the song that reflects their delight and excitement.
In intensely lyric and poetic words, the song depicts the invincible might, unique to the DPRK and its people, which is stronger and greater than all trials and challenges. It highly sings of the ideological feelings of the Korean people who are determined to fully support the might of socialist Korea by displaying firm pioneering spirit and patriotic mind.
“The more we sing the song, the prouder we feel of having been born and grown on this land,” said Jon Il Ju, a section chief of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry. “It gives a vivid description of who we are, for what we are overcoming the current difficulties and how valuable our struggle is.”
The song definitely represents the will of the people in the present era who have braved trying ordeals following the great Party and are working to build the most prosperous and powerful country in the world without fail and hand it down to the coming generation. It has become an instant hit, capturing the imagination of the people.
Now the song is greatly inspiring the people to speed up their advance at the beginning of the year as they keenly realized last year through their struggle and jubilant reality that they would emerge victorious generation after generation flying the sacred national flag.
