Deputy Pak Thae Song, Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a report on the agenda item "On the Results of the Work of the Cabinet of the DPRK in 2024 and Its Tasks for 2025" at the Twelfth Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.
He said that last year, the Cabinet organized and conducted the work for implementing the economic policy of the Party regarding it as the core task to provide a definite guarantee to the fulfilment of the five-year plan by putting spurs to the production growth and accelerating readjustment and reinforcement in all sectors and at all units while concentrating efforts on attaining 12 major goals for national economic development according to the bright blueprint unfolded by the great Party Central Committee.
He dwelt upon the fact that production increased in different sectors of the national economy as against the previous year in the dynamic struggle for attaining 12 major goals.
He pointed out that the Cabinet revealed serious shortcomings in the last year's struggle.
He said the Cabinet will put spurs to attaining 12 major goals and carrying out the five-year plan in all sectors of the national economy including key industries this year and thus lay a firm stepping stone for sustained development of the national economy.
In order to successfully carry out the tasks facing us this year, we will intensify the work to establish the discipline and order of making all the sectors and units unconditionally obey and execute the decisions and instructions of the Cabinet on the principle of the Cabinet-responsibility system, Cabinet-centred system to guide and manage the whole economy of the country in a unified and prospective way, he added.
He expressed a willto carry out without fail the important tasks presented by the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eight Party Central Committee with indefatigable passion and vigorous executive ability, always conscious deeply of the expectations of the people and the Party that entrusted the economic work of the country to him and thus glorify this significant year marking the 80th Party founding anniversary as a proud year of victory and greet the Ninth Party Congress with pride.
