Universities across the country are conducting scientific researches in various fields of the national economy striving for successfully concluding the goal set forth at the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The Ministry of Education, in close cooperation with relevant units, is giving priority to organization for actively mobilizing the scientific research forces of universities in major theaters. Accordingly, the research groups of various universities including Kim Il Sung University and Kim Chaek University of Technology are dynamically waging scientific research activities in different sectors of the national economy including metal, chemical, electric power, machine and coal industry.
Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering has sent research groups to machine factories in different areas to push ahead with scientific researches for modernizing factories and enterprises and updating technical processes.
Researchers of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry dispatched to the Sinpho City Offshore Farm and foodstuff factories in different areas are putting spurs to solving the research tasks arising in improving the quality of products, updating technical processes and normalizing production.
The same is true of those from other universities including Phyongsong University of Coal Mining, Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering and Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering.
Besides, researchers of agricultural universities across the country are active in the scientific farming promotion teams and many research forces of major universities and provincial universities are making strenuous efforts to achieve remarkable scientific and technological successes conducive to implementing the Party’s Regional Development 20×10 Policy.
