Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- This year we will commemorate the 80th founding anniversary of the glorious Workers' Party of Korea, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in an editorial, and goes on:
The 80th founding anniversary of the WPK is a grand political festival, which will powerfully demonstrate once again the seasoned leadership, the longest ruling history and the bright future of the ever-victorious WPK that has brought about the highest dignity and glory, unprecedented in the nation's history spanning 5 000 years, by successfully building the most advantageous Korean-style socialism, being responsible for the working people and the country.
It is the tradition, pride and honour peculiar to our people to celebrate with splendour the birth anniversary of the great Party, our dignity, destiny and future, with proud labour successes.
Only when we go all out for making miraculous successes in the sacred patriotic struggle for comprehensive rejuvenation and development of our great country, can we greet the 9th Congress of the WPK as a glorious meeting of victors.
"Let us struggle courageously full of confidence for the great victory in 2025!" - this is our important fighting slogan for this year.
We should defend the 80th founding anniversary of the Party and its congress and make great transformation and vigorous advance in all aspects of state building by successfully carrying out the five-year plan.
A sure victory is in store for our this year's struggle as we are under the experienced and seasoned leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , prominent leader of our Party and revolution, and there is the great might of the single-minded unity in which all the people are rallied close around the Party Central Committee. -0-
