Today is the 13th anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's assumption of the supreme commandership of the armed forces of the DPRK (December 30 2011).

Over the past 10-odd years since then Kim Jong Un has ushered in a golden age of the strengthening of the Juche-type revolutionary armed forces with his outstanding leadership ability, lifting the DPRK firmly to the position of an invincible military power.

He further strengthened and developed the revolutionary armed forces of the country into a politically and ideologically strong army which is infinitely loyal to the ideology and leadership of the Party Central Committee.

He set it as the general objective of army building to model the entire army on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and made sure that it firmly maintained its revolutionary character and original features.

His ideas and theories on army building, including the idea on building the Korean People’s Army as an ideologically pure entity and organizationally complete whole that shares life and death with the Party, the idea on making the KPA the reliable pathfinder and strong fulcrum of the revolution, and the idea on turning the entire army into units of comrades-in-arms sharing blood and life on the road of revolution, served as important guidelines for opening up a golden age of the buildup of military capability.

He steadily strengthened and developed the DPRK revolutionary armed forces into the main force of the national defence capabilities capable of defeating any formidable enemy.

He put heart and soul into developing the KPA into a-match-for-a-hundred strong army following Kim Il Sung’s and Kim Jong Il’s military strategy and tactics and Juche-based art of war and possessed of brave mode of attack and actual war capacity. In order to bring about a radical turn in boosting the combat capability and completing the combat preparedness of the revolutionary armed forces of the country, he personally guided the historic conferences and contests of different services and arms. And he visited the training fields clouded with dust and powder smoke to clarify the schemes for victory and kindle the flames of the crack shot movement.

He continued to visit the defence science research institutes and dangerous test sites late at night and early in the morning to lead the development of Juche weapons and went out to the dangerous launch sites to see the whole process of their fire at the risk of his life. Thanks to his self-sacrificing efforts, the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK have grown into an elite revolutionary army which can respond to any unexpected situations immediately with lightning speed and win all battles.

As is shown by the Juche weapons, which have emerged in succession over the past decade, the DPRK’s national defence capability has reached the strongest level that no one dares provoke.

In particular, the successive development and completion of the very powerful Juche weapons, the commissioning ceremony of ultimate weaponry demonstrating the sure victory of the cause of modernizing the powerful army and the successful test-fire of the most perfect weapon system of ICBM Hwasongpho-19 this year after last year show the growth of the powerful force that knows no limit and the modernity and advanced level of the rapidly developing armed forces of the DPRK.

The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK will always be invincible as they are led by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un who provided the strongest military power for peace keeping to ensure that they can firmly defend socialism, the dignity and life of the Korean people, and the people will prosper forever on the land free from war.
