Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Kangwon Province of the DPRK has waged a mass movement for land management to finish in a qualitative way the road technical remodeling, the repair of dwelling houses and public buildings, the construction of pleasure grounds and other projects planned this year.
The province has concentrated efforts and means on the technical remodeling of roads in Wonsan City to complete the pavement of roads covering tens of thousands of square meters, repair of structures and underdrain project.
The province finished the repair for thousands of houses and more than 100 public buildings.
Popdong, Kosong and other counties have pushed ahead with the projects for expanding and paving roads in the planned sections and retaining walls in a three-dimensional way and planted trees of good species to ensure the safety and modernity of roads.
Women's union members in Wonsan City have planted and tended many trees and flower shrubs and spruced up a coastal park of the city.
Officials and working people in Kosan and Kumgang counties and other areas protected the ecological environment of beauty spots and managed historical relics and natural monuments, thus making a contribution to adding beauty to the surrounding landscape and adding luster to the history and tradition of the nation. -0-
