Issue He Stressed Essentially

Our people still remember the enlarged joint meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and the Korean People’s Army (KPA) Committee of the WPK held in February, 2016.

Because the meeting importantly stressed that the principle of giving priority to self-development should be maintained.

In his historic conclusion at the meeting, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un said that the whole Party, all the people and the entire army should hold fast to the principle of giving priority to self-development raised by our Party, stressing that the principle of giving priority to self-development is a revolutionary spirit of remarkably strengthening one’s own strength in reliance on the driving force and hewing out one’s way.

And he taught that the basis of the principle of giving priority to self-development is the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il that the revolution in one’s country should be carried out by one’s own efforts. The mode of struggle for embodying the principle of giving priority to self-development is self-reliance and fortitude.

Looking back on the past, the history of the Korean revolution was pioneered and won by dint of self-development.

The spirit of self-reliance and self-development of the President and the Chairman that one is the master of one’s own destiny and one should carve out one’s destiny by one’s own efforts has brought up our people to be the strongest in mental power knowing no impossibility and turned our country into an invincible power no one can ignore.

Therefore, the respected General Secretary stressed the need for all sectors and units to advance our revolution by giving full play to the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude, bearing in mind that the revolution in one’s country should be carried out by their own efforts and that revolutionaries should trust themselves only.

His meaningful instructions given that day are deeply implanting the philosophy that when we hold fast to the principle of giving priority to self-development, we can never fear any difficulties and always create victory.

High Praise

One October day in 2022 the respected General Secretary inspected the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm under the South Hamgyong Provincial Rural Economy Committee which was built splendidly on the eastern coast.

Enjoying a bird’s-eye view of the vast sea of greenhouses, he was pleased that with the large-scale modern greenhouse farm built, it was possible to regularly supply fresh vegetables the year round to the workers and scientists in Hamhung City and to the people in South Hamgyong Province. And he highly praised that to turn the field into a splendid vast farm area in just a few months is the greatest miracle which could be created by only the People’s Army.

The accompanying officials were wrapped with endless emotion, receiving the appreciation of the respected General Secretary.

He gave thanks in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK to the soldier-builders who perfectly accomplished the most crucial construction policy task of the Party and the state within the date and at the level set by the Party by displaying intense loyalty and the trait of devotedly implementing the Party’s policies in the vast Ryonpho area.

Looking up to the benevolent image of the respected General Secretary, the officials realized keenly once again that his ardent love and trust is just the fundamental source which makes sure that our soldier-builders create miracle by displaying the indomitable mental strength.
