The daily "Rodong Sinmun" on October 7, 2024, carried the news that more than 41,600 families in 141 cities and counties moved into new houses in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea this year.
Meanwhile, the American newspaper "New York Times" on October 8 wrote that about 60 percent of buildings were destroyed and 41,909 Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip for one year after the start of the war provoked by Israel.
What is the truth of the reality presenting a striking contrast?
In 2012 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, gave a definition that the single-minded unity and the invincible military muscle plus the industrial revolution in the new century together make a powerful socialist country. And in 2021 he said we should be powerful also for the coming generations and this is our first and foremost task, and saw that spurs are put to bolstering up the defence capability.
Therefore, the DPRK made crucial resolute decisions to defend the national sovereignty, self-respect and national interests and put them into practice and finally, it became a world's military power.
Despite the extremely difficult circumstances, the DPRK is achieving overall development of socialism and its people are full of animation and vigour.
Peace, dignity of the country and nation, and happiness of the people are guaranteed by tremendous military muscle. This is the truth of the reality presenting a striking contrast.
