In a recent television broadcast, Nicolas Maduro Moros, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, exposed the moves of the U.S. to plunder the country.
The Venezuelan president said that the previous U.S. administration had tried to steal Venezuela’s natural resources and its foreign assets but failed in its attempt. He remarked that, likewise, the current U.S. administration’s attempt to try and overturn the government by instigating Venezuela’s extreme-rightists will find itself sharing the same fate.
He continued that the U.S. should work only with the Bolivarian government in Venezuela, its revolutionary government. The president stressed that the U.S. must understand that talks and resumption of normal bilateral relations based on the principles of respect for sovereignty and noninterference in internal affairs are the only approach.
