Pledge Made after Meeting for Year-end Account Settlement and Income Distribution

In October there took place a meeting for year-end account settlement and income distribution at the Kangan Farm in Unpha County. Though the night went on, officials and farmers were so excited that they could hardly go to sleep. They were haunted by the sight of heaps of rice bags and dancing party at the meeting.

In the past days the farm ranked the last in the farming of province due to some reasons; but this year they concluded the harvest and thrashing before others and conducted the settlements of accounts and income distribution.

That night all of them recollected the days of this year with deep emotion: they received the benevolence of the motherly Party and buckled down to farming to repay it; learnt hard the advanced science and technology and farming method; excavated thousands of meters of waterway and have devoted sincerity to crops through the spring and summer.

Recollecting the past, they made a firm pledge to reap a bumper harvest next year without fail in wheat and barley farming.

Since the next day the whole farm seethes with high patriotic enthusiasm.

Impression Builders Received

Not long ago several women’s union members visited the construction site for the gymnasium of Kwangmyong Senior Middle School in Songchongang District, Hamhung City.

They are women’s union members in Songchongang District. They have visited the construction site frequently with aid materials since the beginning of the construction. Though they wanted to help the builders, they could not do due to the lack of work tools. By force of circumstance they were obliged to come back home. Among them was Kim So Ok residing in 22nd people’s neighborhood unit of Songchongang-dong No.2, Songchongang District.

That night she searched various places for tools necessary for builders with her husband and visited the construction site with those tools next day.

Looking at her, builders were so impressed by her noble heart to fulfill her civic duty and obligation.

Kim So Ok has devoted her sincerity with ardent patriotic mind to many theaters seething with campaign of implementing the Party’s decision including the Ryonpho Greenhouse construction site, the Ryongsong Machine Complex.

The builders and other women’s union members in the district made a firm pledge to find a good deed for prosperity of the country and posterity by following her suit.

To Do Good Things for Country

Ju Chun Hui, a worker of the Chongjin Textile Mill, responsibly performs her duty although she is over 60. She is respected by people as she has devoted herself to her job and positively conducted a lot of good things for society and the collective.

In July last year the country invited her younger brother to the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, valuing the exploits of her father who made great contribution to making his work-team receive the citation of President Kim Il Sung as a twice Chollima rider.

Ju Chun Hui made up her mind to live like her father.

Since then she has done more good things for society and the collective such as assistance to farm work and agitation for increased production at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex.

Upon the news of the 5th National Conference of Mothers held in December last year, she began to visit the baby home every month with aid materials for the nurses while dedicating her sincerity to assistance to special class disabled soldiers and the army.

When people suggest her spending easy life supported by children, she says that even one more good thing will contribute to the country.
